Mr. Flores has achieved excellence in over 32 years of legal experience. In law school he was an editor for the scholarly Arizona Law Review. He excelled in trial competitions, winning his law school closing argument competition, and representing his law school in the State closing argument competition.
Right out of law school Mr. Flores joined the Arizona Supreme Court as a law clerk to Justice James Duke Cameron. Only 10 persons from across the country are awarded the high honor of working with this Court each year. Mr. Flores helped write Supreme Court decisions touching issues in trial evidence and death penalty appeals.
Mr. Flores passed the Arizona and California State bar examinations and practiced civil law with a major law firm in both states. He maintains his law license in each state.

Mr. Flores achieved the position of senior deputy district attorney in his twelve years with the Orange County District Attorney’s office. Senior positions are reserved for only the best trial lawyers in the district attorney’s office. Mr. Flores has tried more than 100 cases to verdict.
As a former senior deputy DA in Orange County, Mr. Flores prosecuted serious and violent felony cases in Orange County. He spent four years in the sexual assault unit trying rape, spousal rape, and child molestation cases. He also handled related Internet crimes. Mr. Flores also spent three years in the white-collar crime unit handling major fraud, insurance fraud, embezzlement, and other sophisticated fraud charges. In addition, Mr. Flores handled other serious felonies including three strikes, attempted murder, kidnapping, and robbery. He was also assigned to the search warrant task force and headed special investigations into health care fraud and workers’ compensation fraud. During this time period, Mr. Flores developed a reputation as one of the finest trial lawyers in Orange County.
