Grahame E. “Grey” Holmes began his career practicing environmental litigation in Charleston, South Carolina with the Law Offices of C.C. Harness, III. Grey returned home to Walterboro in 2003 to practice law with the firm. His practice is devoted to representing individuals and small local businesses in litigation with a primary focus on personal injury litigation. Mr. Holmes has served as lead counsel in the trials of cases including wrongful death, premises liability, automobile collisions, breach of contract, fraud, injured railroad workers, railroad grade crossing collisions, highway defects and environmental issues. He has participated in the trials of product liability, tractor trailer, defamation, and railroad grade crossing cases. Most recently, Mr. Holmes served as lead counsel in a trial in Aiken County where he obtained a 2.5 million dollar verdict for the children of a woman who was killed in a railroad grade crossing collision.
