1972-74 - Certified Law Student with both Metropolitan Public Defenders and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office

1974 - J.D. Law           Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law

1974 - Passed Oregon Bar

State and Federal courts – licensed to practice in both

1974 - Hired as Deputy District Attorney in Grants Pass, Oregon (Josephine County)

1974 - Hired as Deputy District Attorney in Portland, Oregon (Multnomah County)

1974-76 - Member of a Federally Funded D.U.I.I. Task Forc3 that prosecuted drunk driving exclusively

1976-78 - Prosecuted Major Felonies – including vehicular assaults and homicides

1978 - Presented with opportunity to take over the practice of Steven Walker when he was appointed Multnomah County Judge

1980 - One of 5 finalist chosen by the Judicial Selection Committee for the Governor’s Consideration for appointment as Multnomah County Judge

1980 - Moderator of KPTV’s You and the Courts

1980 – Present

Author and lecturer of multiple subject matters involving DUII for numerous research materials and organizations such as the Oregon Trial Lawyers and the Criminal Defense Lawyers Associations.

2010 - Awarded 30 year AV Recognition by Martindale Hubbell for Peer Review at the Highest Possible Level for Legal Ability and Ethical Standards
