Jack P. Goodrich, Esquire
Mr. Goodrich is the principal of the law firm Goodrich & Associates, P.C., located in Pittsburgh, PA, formerly Goodrich & Goodrich, P.C. In 1983, he graduated from St. Francis University with a Business Degree. In 1987, he earned a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. His primary practice areas include personal injury, with a concentration on head trauma and vehicular accidents including wrongful death and complex civil personal injury litigation. He has also successfully represented and tried multiple product liability cases, workers’ compensation cases, and practices in the areas of social security disability, wills and estates along with criminal law. Notably, Mr. Goodrich tried one of the first DNA related cases back in 1992 and also conferred with multiple experts involved with the O.J. Simpson trial.
Nationally, in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 he earned the distinction as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer from The National Trial Lawyers Association. In 2008, through present, “Irish Voice Magazine” recognized Mr. Goodrich as a Top 100 American Irish Lawyer. In 2009, he was recognized by the “Irish Echo” as one of the top Irish lawyers in the country. His legal savvy has ranked him as a member of the Multi Million Dollar Advocate Forum.
In Pennsylvania, Mr. Goodrich, has been a member of the Board of Governors for PAJ (former Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association) since 1993. He is a past Board of Governors Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is currently an active member. Since 2006, Mr. Goodrich has been noted as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Only 5% of all lawyers receive this honor. On occasion, he has been asked to provide testimony on pending legislation before the Pennsylvania State Senate. For six years, he was an appointed Hearing Officer for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Regionally, in 2001, Mr. Goodrich was elected a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers. This organization is comprised of only 250 lawyers from a population of 9,000-10,000 lawyers in Allegheny County. You must be invited to join the Academy. Membership is based on the lawyer’s legal ability and trial advocacy. He is past President of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and still serves on the same. He is President of the Brehon Law Society of Western Pennsylvania. Founded in 1976, the Brehon Law Society is a professional association that fosters the profession of law among individuals of Irish ancestry. He is a current member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and past member of the ACBA Rules Committee, Civil Litigation, and Judiciary Committees.
In Pittsburgh, Mr. Goodrich is past president of the Duquesne School of Law Alumni Association and served on the Past Presidents’ Advisory Board at the Duquesne University School of Law. He was honored by the Knights of Equity as Iron City Man of the Year in 2006 and received the illustrious Irishmen of the Year Award in 2005. He is currently a Board Member and fundraising chairman for the Pittsburgh St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. Mr. Goodrich volunteers at his daughter’s school, Providence Heights Alpha, where he is President of the Athletic Association and Varsity Co-ed Soccer Coach. For over 20 years, Mr. Goodrich has provided educational seminar materials, as well as participated in seminars, locally, nationally, and internationally.
