Jane M. Lamberti is a partner in The Cochran Firm's Atlanta office and manages Atlanta's medical malpractice group. With her strong background in chemistry, Jane has extensive experience in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. She has obtained over $40 million in settlements and verdicts on behalf of victims in medical malpractice claims, as well as cases involved with wrongful death and injuries due to failure to treat timely maternal and fetal complications, breast and cervical cancer, heart attacks, and anesthesia complications. In 2008, Jane led the trial team that secured over $20 million in damages for her client in a motor vehicle accident wrongful death case against an electrical supply company and their employee driver. This was the largest amount of compensatory damages ever awarded in a wrongful death case in Georgia and was the largest verdict in the history of Clayton County, Georgia. ACHIEVEMENTS This case was highlighted in The National Law Journal's 2008 Plaintiffs' Hot List when The Cochran Firm was recognized for its recent legal accomplishments. (Tracey Gandy v. Jane is a Fellow with the Litigation Counsel of America, a member of the Atlanta Trial Lawyers Society, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. She is listed on the National Registry of Who's Who, is a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyer, and has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers magazine. Her trial achievements and ethical standards earned Jane Martindale-Hubbell's AV rating, the highest rating by her peers. Jane received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Mount Holyoke College (B.A., cum laude), where she was elected to the Sigma Xi National Scientific Research Society. Jane received her master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia and her law degree from Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, Jane was a member of the Moot Court Board and Moot Court Team.
