Ms. Webster is an associate at SPK - the law firm of Swensen & Perer and focuses her practice on medical malpractice, personal injury and product liability litigation. She earned her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her Bachelor's Degree at Duquesne University where she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in Psychology, Sociology and Spanish.
While in law school, Ms. Webster was the recipient of the Alumni Law Scholarship, a Pitt Law Ambassador and a successful participant in both the trial and appellate moot court competitions. At Pitt Law she received advanced certification in the fields of Civil Litigation and Health Law. She also received the CALI Award for excellence in the field of Public Health Law.
In addition to her law degree, Ms. Webster obtained her Master's in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh where she received the WEPW Award in Environmental and Occupational Health and Disease.
Ms. Webster is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice and American Association for Justice. She also acts as an arbitrator in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
Also, as an experienced attorney in her field, Jennifer has taught continuing legal education seminars in Pittsburgh and Mechanicsburg to other attorneys on the topics of Managing Liens and Subrogation in Auto Litigation; Slip, Trip and Fall Litigation; and Civil Litigation Practice.
Ms. Webster argued before the appellate court on the case of Stepanovich v. McGraw, which was the first case to reach the Superior Court regarding whether it is a denial of due process to a Plaintiff in a Post-Koken case not to identify the UIM carrier as a Defendant to the jury.
Ms. Webster is named in Verdict Search for Pennsylvania's Top Verdicts with one of the highest jury verdicts for a slip and fall case that she tried in Allegheny County.
Jennifer also earned the designation of Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2015, 2016 and 2017. This is an honor given to no more than 2.5% of attorneys per state who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. In 2015, Jennifer was one of only four attorneys in Pittsburgh to earn this designation for Plaintiff's Medical Malpractice, and was the only female attorney in the City to have been listed. Ms. Webster has also been named one of the Top 10 Female Attorneys in Pennsylvania for Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys.
Ms. Webster lives in the South Hills with her husband and son.
