Ms. Doogan is an Associate in the Labor and Employment practice area concentrating primarily on Wage and Hour/Overtime violations under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable Ohio law, Employment Law, and violations of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Ms. Doogan is an Illinois native and moved to Columbus to attend law school. The first college graduate in her family, Ms. Doogan worked full time as a paralegal throughout her Undergraduate career.
Ms. Doogan was active in her law school community earning her the Capital University Law School Ambassadorâ€™s Award. She revitalized Capitalâ€™s student chapter of the American Constitution Society, acted as an instructor for the Law and Leadership Institute, participated in National Competition on the Labor and Employment Moot Court Team, and assisted her labor law professor with research for a Labor Arbitration textbook.
Ms. Doogan spent the beginning of her career as in-house counsel for Ohioâ€™s largest labor union representing public employees. There she practiced before both Federal and Ohio courts, managed Unfair Labor Practices, conducted trainings on areas of Federal Labor and Employment law, assisted in contract negotiations, and conducted arbitrations.
Ms. Doogan lives in Gahanna with her husband, Aaron, and their two dogs Gizmo and Zane.
