Jessica Perez Reynolds is a partner with Pendley, Baudin, & Coffin, L.L.P., joining the firm as an associate in October of 2012. Her background is deeply rooted in the pursuit of scientific endeavors. Mrs. Perez Reynolds holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Campbell University in addition to a M.Sc. in Forensic Science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She obtained her law degree and graduate diploma in comparative law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert School of Law.
While pursing her law degree, Mrs. Perez Reynolds served as a judicial extern to Louisiana State Supreme Court Justice Bernette J. Johnson. She also participated in LSU’s Moot Court and Trial Advocacy programs, serving on both the National Moot Court Team and the AAJ National Trail Advocacy Team. In 2011, she was selected by her peers and professors to receive the Wex Malone Scholarship for Outstanding Oral Advocacy. Prior to joining Pendley, Baudin & Coffin, LLP, Mrs. Perez Reynolds defended indigent clients as a public defender for the 19th Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge. Upon joining Pendley, Baudin & Coffin, L.L.P., she merged her two greatest passions, oral advocacy and science, into the zealous representation of clients injured by pharmaceutical and medical device products.
Mrs. Perez Reynolds' main practice areas are comprised of complex litigation involving pharmaceutical litigation, medical device litigation, toxic torts, and personal injury. Over the past five years, approximately ninety percent (90%) of her litigation case work has involved pharmaceutical products and/or medical devices. Since joining Pendley, Baudin & Coffin, L.L.P., she has had the privilege to work on multiple MDLs in various roles. In doing so, she has gained a wide range of complex litigation experience including taking on MDL leadership roles, participating as a MDL trial team member, preparation of various experts and witnesses, taking and defending of various depositions within the context of multiple MDLs, and the representation of numerous clients injured by pharmaceutical and medical device products.
