Jonathan P. Mincieli is a litigator with over 20 years of experience handling complex cases and those involving catastrophic or significant damages. He has successfully tried cases in the States of Illinois, Connecticut and New York. Jon believes in strenuously advocating for his clients to obtain for them the best result. However, he recognizes that advocacy alone is not enough. “I was taught early in my career that there is no substitute for preparation.” Jon is professional, ethical and devoted to the highest level of representation for his clients.

Jon’s experience includes the handling of personal injury matters involving construction site injuries, medical malpractice, products liability, motor vehicle accidents and premises liability. He also has extensive experience with commercial matters including contract and warranty disputes and covenants not to compete. His success as a trial lawyer has earned him selection by his peers as both a Super Lawyer and Leading Lawyer. He was also named one of the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff lawyers in Illinois by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Mincieli has obtained significant recoveries for his clients including a $10,000,000 verdict for the family of a 52 year-old man killed in an industrial accident and $850,000 for a young man who was sexually abused by the employee of a health club. He was also a part of the trial team that obtained a record $6,200,000 Kane County verdict for an Elgin man whose knee had to be amputated following surgery due to the negligence of his physicians.

Jon received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York, College at Oswego and his law degree cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois as well as federal courts in Illinois, Indiana and New York. He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, the Illinois State Bar Association where he is an Assemblyman, Kane County Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association where he serves as an arbitrator.
