Joshua Friedman joined the firm Dreyer Boyajian (now Dreyer Boyajian LaMarche Safranko, Attorneys at Law) as an associate attorney in 2018. Josh brings the benefit of a diverse set of legal skills that allow him to skillfully navigate a wide variety of litigation matters. He has argued successfully on behalf of clients in both state and federal courts and in a variety of administrative forums. His clients have included individuals, local municipalities, and businesses large and small. Josh’s primary areas of practice at Dreyer Boyajian LaMarche Safranko are personal injury, criminal defense, civil rights, employment disputes and municipal matters.
Josh began his legal career clerking for the Hon. Elizabeth A. Garry of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department. In that role he had the honor of helping to research and draft decisions in numerous high-stakes civil and criminal appeals from the courts in 28 counties. He thereafter entered private practice as an associate attorney at another well-established Capital District firm where he worked representing clients in both civil litigation and transactional matters.
Josh is a member of both the Albany County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is a graduate of Albany Law School where he was chosen to serve as an editor of the Albany Law Review. In his free time Josh enjoys travelling, skiing, and volunteering for local causes such as the Albany County Family Court Help Center, Congregation Beth Emeth Soup Kitchen, and Albany Law School Alumni Initiative in Mentoring. Josh is a longtime Capital Region resident and currently lives in Menands.
