Josh Vick is a partner with Goldasich, Vick & Fulk, a civil litigation firm based in Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up in the small town of Camden, Alabama, he learned from an early age that there are no substitutes for hard work, dedication to a cause, and doing what you love. For Josh, the practice of law offers the perfect opportunity to apply each of those ideals on a daily basis.
Josh’s practice is entirely devoted to civil litigation and trial work, with an emphasis on catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, product liability, and commercial trucking accidents. He has served as lead and co-lead counsel in countless civil actions, and has consistently obtained multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. A sample of his recent results includes:
• $10,000,000 verdict in a medical negligence case involving a pediatric brain injury; • $4,000,000 settlement of a commercial trucking accident; • $3,500,000 jury verdict in a case involving spinal impingement and paralysis; • $3,000,000 settlement of a case involving paralysis due to medical negligence; • $2,000,000 settlement of a production liability claim involving a workplace explosion; • Several multi-million dollar settlements for claims involving catastrophic workplace injuries; and • Several multi-million dollar settlements involving catastrophic birth injuries.
Over the course of his career, Josh has obtained more than $33,000,000 in verdicts and settlements for his clients.
As a result of his success in the courtroom, Josh has been consistently recognized by his peers in the national legal community. In 2014, he was accepted as a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership in this group is limited to attorneys who have obtained multi-million dollar verdicts, and less than 1% of attorneys in the United States are members.
Josh has also been recognized in the Mid-South Super Lawyers list of “Rising Stars†in the legal profession. Attorneys under the age of 40 are independently evaluated and chosen for the Rising Stars list based upon peer recognition and professional achievement.
Josh attended Auburn University for his undergraduate studies and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Outside the practice of law, Josh enjoys sports, travel, live music, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Mary Margaret, live in Birmingham with their son, Charlie, and their two dogs. They are members of South Highland Presbyterian Church, where Josh serves on the Board of Directors of the South Highland Child Development Center.
