During her time at law school, she received the Brother Raymond Fitz Student Leader for Justice award. While in law school she served as a staff writer for the Law Review, Chief Justice of the UDSL Moot Court team, clerking for a federal judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and as a law clerk for a common pleas judge. She worked as a defense attorney on civil cases following her graduation in Charleston, West Virginia. In 2010 she returned to Indiana to begin working in the Indianapolis location for Blackburn & Green.
She fights on behalf of those who have been hurt and who need compensation for their injuries. She has tried cases both as a defense and plaintiff's attorney and received numerous successful jury verdicts for her clients. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and the Indiana State Bar Association.
She has received distinction in 2014 and 2015 by being named in the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40. This recognizes her as one of the top 40 trial attorneys in Indiana under age 40. This professional organization has membership that extends exclusively to individuals who exemplify superior trial results, qualifications and leadership.
