Kenneth D. Pierce was born in Stamford, Connecticut. He is a 1979 graduate, magna cum laude, of the School of Liberal Arts at Boston College. Ken enjoyed a successful sales career in the medical device industry before obtaining his law degree in 1990 from Northeastern University School of Law. While in law school, he clerked for the Massachusetts Trial Court and worked in the litigation departments of Bingham, Dana & Gould, in Boston, and Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, located in Portland, Maine. He is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. Ken has extensive civil jury trial experience in federal and state court in all types of litigation including personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, employment, real estate, boundary, insurance coverage and products liability issues. He is also frequently retained as a mediator and arbitrator.

Ken is the former President of the Boston College Alumni Association and remains active in alumni events. He serves on the Fort Williams Park Commission in Cape Elizabeth and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Maine Charitable Mechanic’s Association in Portland.

He is married to Kathleen O’Connor Pierce, a 1980 graduate of Boston College and native of Indianapolis, Indiana. They live in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and have two sons: Will, a 2014 graduate of Georgetown University, and Matty, a 2016 graduate of Boston College. Ken and Kathleen have been active in community organizations including Cape Elizabeth baseball, basketball and other youth sports.
