Laura is a graduate of Earlham College, where she actively participated in Model United Nations programs and volunteered with America Reads. During law school, Laura competed in the BMI-Cardozo Moot, volunteered with the Mississippi Office of Post-Capital Convictions, and had an internship in the civil division of the Mississippi Attorney General's Office.
A Dayton native, Laura returned to Ohio after law school, where she worked in private practice and then served as a Montgomery County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for over four years. As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, she worked in the Appellate, Juvenile, and Criminal Divisions. In 2015, Laura earned her LLM in from Loyola University Chicago. Laura has extensive experience representing clients in complex criminal matters, including jury trials, in municipal, state, and federal court, has represented clients in criminal appeals and argued before the Second District Court of Appeals, and represents clients in custody, divorce, dissolution, and child support matters in Southwest Ohio.
