Marcelis is an Associate Attorney at the Cochran Firm - California, working on civil litigation matters including personal injury, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, sexual assault of minors, and premises liability litigation on behalf of Plaintiffs. Prior to joining The Cochran Firm - California, Marcelis represented Plaintiffs in complex civil litigation matters in California and Arizona involving toxic torts, products liability, personal injury, wrongful death, and health care fraud. No matter the case, Marcelis' determination and resolve have helped him to obtain justice for his clients.

When he is not fighting for his clients, Marcelis spends time contributing to the legal community and mentoring law students. Marcelis is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California Diversity Committee, and volunteers his time providing legal services to the homeless at the People Assisting the Homeless Legal Clinic in Los Angeles.

Marcelis received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While at Loyola Law School, Marcelis was selected to be a member of the nationally recognized Byrne Trial Advocacy Team. He also participated in Loyola's Civil Litigation Practicum, and the William C. Hobbs Trial Advocacy Program. While at Loyola, Marcelis also received the prestigious Gary M. Paul Scholarship and was admitted into the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. Marcelis received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Riverside, in Business Administration.

In 2017, Marcelis was honored as a Top 40 Under 40 by The National Black Lawyers.
