Michael graduated from Georgia College in 2010. Graduating from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in 2013, he practiced domestic law and personal injury law throughout the Atlanta metro area.
In 2016, he joined the Flint Circuit Public Defender's Office where he found his calling representing the rights of the accused. As a public defender, he worked tirelessly on behalf of his indigent clients. He then joined the Office of the Public Defender - Atlanta Circuit in 2018, where he represented indigent clients in the busiest judicial circuit in Georgia. After years of fearlessly defending clients in the public defender's office, he joined the law firm of Miller and Key in June of 2021.

Michael is a Regional Vice President of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and graduate of the Bill Daniels Trial Advocacy Program. He has served as the treasurer of the Henry County Bar Association and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In his spare time, he is a Contributing Member to the HIGH Museum of Art, member of the BRAVO Young Professionals association for the Atlanta Symphony, Contributing Member of the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Piedmont Park Conservancy. He enjoys playing golf (poorly), bicycling, hiking, and splitting time between the Liverpool Football Club and the Georgia Bulldogs.
