Nick has spent the vast majority of his career representing consumers in all types of civil litigation relating to consumer issues, personal injury and wrongful death claims since 1998. The case was tried before Judge Thomas Durkin in the Northern District of Illinois in April of 2015.
In April of 2018, Nick was trial counsel for the plaintiff in Saccameno v. Ocwen. This case was tried to a jury verdict before Judge Joan Gottschall in the Northern District of Illinois. In this case, after Saccameno had completed a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy repayment plan, Ocwen ignored the bankruptcy discharge order and pursued collections in violation of the bankruptcy discharge and other laws for a period of nearly five years. The jury returned a verdict in favor of Saccameno, and against Ocwen and the investor on the loan, in the amount of $3,582,000.
