Olen Haynes Jr. is a graduate of Wofford College, cum laude, and the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, cum laude.  He works exclusively in behalf of individuals hurt due to the negligence or recklessness of others in the areas of auto and truck crashes, medical negligence, product and premises liability, and other personal injury matters.

Mr. Haynes began his law practice in the United States Navy ‘JAG' Corps, refining his trial skills while prosecuting federal criminal cases, with much of his work focused on the criminal prosecution of those responsible for sexual crimes against children. In recognition of his work as a prosecutor, Mr. Haynes was an American Bar Association Outstanding Young Military Lawyer of the Year Award nominee. The trial experience gained as a Navy prosecutor has proven to be an invaluable asset in pursuing justice on behalf of individuals who have been injured from other's wrongdoing.

After 'JAG', Mr. Haynes began his private practice with Arnold, Haynes & Sanders, (now known as The Haynes Firm) focusing his practice on trial work, including medical malpractice, auto/truck/motorcycle accidents, product liability, and structural defects. Mr. Haynes was selected as one of the Mid-South Super Lawyers, Rising Stars in Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury.   He has been named one of the top 100 Plaintiff trial lawyers in Tennessee by The National Trial Lawyers.

He is the current President of the Northeast Tennessee Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.  He serves on the U.S. District Court attorney admission review Committee, Federal and Tennessee Bar Associations, and is a member of the Tennessee and American Associations for Justice.  Mr. Haynes was chosen to receive the BOPP Victim's Voice Award in recognition of victim advocacy for the State of Tennessee, District I.

With over 20 years of trial and litigation experience, Mr. Haynes remains actively involved in the community and his church. He has served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, and Deacon.  Mr. Haynes is an avid runner, and also enjoys weight training and spending time with his wife and children. Mr. Haynes is a partner in the firm and practices in both state and federal courts.
