Patrick A. Mullin is a veteran New York City criminal defense attorney with repeated success in representing his clients during the past twenty-five years. He specializes in complex, high-stakes federal criminal matters.

Mr. Mullin recently won full exoneration on all charges in the New York City Federal criminal jury trial of a doctor charged with ten counts of illegally and criminally dispensing Vicodin and Lorcet without a legitimate medical purpose and in a manner inconsistent with accepted medical practice.

Patrick Mullin has earned through his skill and experience the designation of Certified Criminal Trial Attorney. This certification is granted by the New Jersey State Supreme Court only after an attorney meets rigorous criteria which includes extensive trial experience and mastery of criminal, procedural and substantive law.

Mr. Mullin is one of the select few practitioners who have presented oral argument before the United States Supreme Court on a federal criminal sentencing issue.

For well over a decade, Mr. Mullin has been an active member of the Practitioners Advisory Group to the United States Sentencing Commission which, subject to congressional oversight, establishes sentencing policy for the Federal Courts.

In addition to being admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar, Patrick Mullin is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court as well as in numerous tax courts, U.S. federal district courts and U.S. federal circuit courts across the country. He is also a practicing member of the New York, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey Bars.

Patrick Mullin holds a Masters of Law in Taxation from the top-rated NYU Tax Law program and attended Harvard Law School's graduate program where he was honored as a Special Student. He also served, from 2001-2006, as an instructor at legendary attorney Gerry Spence's highly respected Trial Lawyers' College, of which he is also a graduate.

Mr. Mullin began his career as a Federal Intern with the Honorable Henry Bramwell in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and then was appointed as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Dickenson R. Debevoise in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Patrick Mullin writes and lectures on federal criminal issues including criminal tax law, federal sentencing, mandatory minimum sentencing and related topics. He has been honored by inclusion by Marquis' Who's Who for over a decade.
