Attorney Paul J. Klehm is a seasoned attorney with more that twenty-five years of civil litigation experience. Paul has a significant amount of trial experience at the state and federal levels, representing individuals and small businesses in civil matters. He represents clients in, among other things, civil rights/police misconduct matters, business disputes, Chapter 93A claims, employment matters, products liability, toxic tort, contract, fraud/misrepresentation, motor vehicle torts, and other matters. With the help of the entire law firm, he won a multi-million dollar jury verdict in a federal civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act trial on behalf of a business client.
Paul has argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
Paul has practiced law in Massachusetts state courts since 1992, and in the Massachusetts federal courts since 1993. Paul was admitted to the state and federal bars of the State of New Hampshire in 2002.
Paul is the current Chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Council, and he has served on that Council since 2014. He is a member of the MBA’s House of Delegates. Paul has also served on the MBA’s Committee on Civility and Professionalism Committee and its Amicus Committee. Paul has judged rounds of the MBA Mock Trial Competition and has volunteered for its Dial-A-Lawyer program, where individuals call in with legal questions.
Paul is a Past President of the Lawrence Bar Association, and, from 2006 to 2017, he served on the Executive Committee of the LBA.
Paul is a Life Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, and he has served on grant application review committees for the MBF for many years.
Paul has spoken at several seminars over the years, on such varied topics, as police misconduct and business litigation, among others.
