Attorney Paul J. Klehm is a seasoned attorney with more than twenty-five years of civil litigation experience. Paul has a significant amount of trial experience at the state and federal levels, representing individuals and small businesses in civil matters. He represents clients in, among other things, civil rights/police misconduct matters, business disputes, Chapter 93A claims, employment matters, products liability, toxic tort, contract, fraud/misrepresentation, motor vehicle torts, and other matters. With the help of the entire law firm, he won a multi-million dollar jury verdict in a federal civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act trial on behalf of a business client.
Paul has argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
Since 2019, Paul has served as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s House of Delegates. He is former Chair of the MBA’s Civil Litigation Council, where he has served from 2014 to 2021. He is a current member of the MBA’s Access to Justice Council, and he served on the MBA's Committee on Civility and Professionalism Committee and its Amicus Committee. Paul judges rounds of the MBA Mock Trial Competition and volunteers for an MBA program, where individuals call in with legal questions.
Paul is a Past President of the Lawrence Bar Association, and, from 2006 to 2017, he served on its Executive Committee. He has served on the LBA's nominating committee several times.
Paul is a Life Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, and he has served on grant application review committees for the MBF for many years. In 2020, Paul received the MBF’s President’s Award, given to those who show dedication to the mission of the MBF.
Paul has spoken at several seminars over the years, on such varied topics, as police misconduct and business litigation, among others.
