Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Justin Garon received a B.A. degree from Cornell University in 1979 having taken a year off to live and work abroad. He taught middle school for three years in Boston and San Diego before attending the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in San Francisco, California, where he graduated in 1985. Upon graduation, Mr. Garon returned to New Orleans as an associate with Garon, Brener & McNeely, a general practice firm. He became a partner in Lehmann, Norman & Garon in 1991 before merging his practice with Scott Silbert, in 1995. He now specializes in personal injury representing individuals injured as a result of automobile and maritime accidents, medical malpractice and nursing home abuse. Mr. Garon is certified as a mediator through Mediation and Arbitration Professionals Systems, Inc. (MAPS), mediating cases throughout Louisiana. Mr. Garon has a diverse legal background which enables him to mediate cases in the following areas of law: personal injury, commercial litigation, and domestic litigation. Mr. Garon is married to Robin Levy, a conceptual artist, and has two boys who participate in school and city athletic programs for whom he has served as a volunteer coach since 1998. He has also assumed numerous volunteer leadership roles both nationally and locally with various charitable organizations. He is a past President of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, is past Chairman of its annual campaign and presently serves on several non-profit and charitable boards.
