He truly believes that your lawyer must have integrity, must be honest and act ethically. Attorney Rawdon strives to do just that, both inside and outside of the courtroom.
He Has Experience
There are everyday life experiences, and there is legal experience. Dick's everyday life experiences include working on farms cutting and housing tobacco, operating a direct marketing company and serving as a principal in a company that represented professional athletes. Dick leads. He served as president of the Ruritan Club (three times), the Optimist Club, the Chamber of Commerce and the Central Kentucky Football Officials Association.
Traveling throughout Europe and the United States has proven to be enlightening. In January 2000, Dick spent a week in Havana, Cuba, during the Julio Gonz?lez crisis. He learned how to deal with people as an athlete in high school, college and in the present. He learned compassion when our schools were integrated as a high school student in the '50s in Georgetown.
Over the years, Dick has faced many serious issues and tense situations. He's tried over 60 cases to a jury verdict and has handled many others that settled. These cases included contracts, estates and wills, criminal matters, injuries, bankruptcies, suits against banks and property line issues.
Early on, Dick learned to associate with top trial lawyers around the country. He meets with them at legal seminars, visits their homes and talks with them by phone. His goal is always to become a better attorney and advocate for the people who entrust their problems to him.
An attorney without experience is always trying to catch up. Hire Mr. Rawdon, a Georgetown trial lawyer who will start out ahead of the game.
He Has People Skills
A good attorney must have good people skills. Dick's strongest skill is his ability to listen ? an acquired skill. He puts himself in other people's positions, including those of his client, the opponent and the judge.

Do you want an attorney who doesn't listen to you? Of course not. Hire Mr. Rawdon, a Georgetown trial lawyer who will get the results you want, not what others think you need.

He Has An Extensive Knowledge Of The Law Dick never stops learning. He reads books on the latest trial techniques, attends cutting-edge trial seminars and practices what he learns. Consequently, he loves to try cases. Many lawyers will not try a case.
Before you hire an attorney, ask these questions:
1) How much trial experience does the firm have with your type of injury? 2) Will they want to settle for a quick cheap payoff or are they willing to take your case to trial to get the results that you deserve? 3) Will they listen to you?
If your lawyer will not try a case, there is no leverage for settlement. You don't want an attorney who still tries cases like they did 10 years ago. Mr. Rawdon is on the cutting edge of litigation techniques, and stays up-to-date on laws, trends and methods.
He Has Stamina
Trial work is exhausting. To be an effective trial lawyer, the lawyer must be physically and mentally fit. Dick exercises daily ? either running or weightlifting. He maintains a healthy diet. He reads fiction, history and biographies, and studies legal books; he stays abreast of daily news and politics.
Dick has a quick wit and is a quick thinker. Some might consider him a little crazy because he is not afraid to take a chance. He is willing to take a chance for his clients and his community.
