Since joining the Brooklyn DA's office in October 1996 fresh out of Brooklyn Law School (where he studied trial advocacy under Brooklyn District Attorney, Charles J. Hynes), Mr. Southard has flawlessly prosecuted his share of violent crime (homicide, rape, robbery and felony assault).
