Ryan MacLeod is a lifelong resident of Texas. Born in Lubbock and raised in Houston, he possesses a strong sense of small town values coupled with big city experience. After completing his undergraduate education at Baylor University and obtaining his law degree from South Texas College of Law, Ryan quickly established his reputation as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Texas. During his time as a prosecutor, Ryan tried numerous misdemeanor and felony trials to verdict while earning accolades from judges and his peers for his willingness to try difficult cases ethically, aggressively, and with an unyielding passion.
Prior to joining Arnold & Itkin, Ryan worked in the litigation section of a national law firm where he successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex civil litigation matters. As a result of his track record in the courtroom, Ryan was recently honored by Houstonia magazine as a 2015 Top Commercial Litigator and was recognized with The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40. Ryan's success is recognized by his peers and those that oppose him. Following a recent two-week jury trial that ended in a favorable settlement prior to verdict, the opposing counsel emailed Ryan stating, "you were a very worthy adversary."
For Ryan, being a trial lawyer is not a job; it's a blessing. Ryan's extensive trial experience is best demonstrated by Ryan's trying more than 30 jury trials to verdict. Those jury trials have earned Ryan the reputation of a trial lawyer who gets results. Ryan's reputation both in the courtroom and during negotiations speaks for itself. Ryan is licensed to practice law in Texas. He is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Additionally, Ryan frequently handles cases in states all across the country.
Ryan is married to his wife Lindsey, and the couple has two children, Layne and Jack. Ryan is an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Houston.
