Sally Goodman Law
Republic Center 325 N. St. Paul Street, Suite 2030
Dallas, TX 75201
It was OK to be a pioneer in criminal law, Sally Goodman decided, because so much was at stake, and being female helped her see things her colleagues missed. Today she is board-certified in the practice of criminal law, a level few attorneys rise to. Other attorneys marvel at her attention to detail, the long hours she puts into preparation, the subtle advantage a defendant has, going into the courtroom accused of a terrible or disgusting crime, of being represented by a smart, caring woman.
Sally Goodman does not mince words. "I am passionate about criminal defense," she says, "even of crimes that strike most people as reprehensible, such as child molestation and rape. Everyone who is accused should also be vigorously defended. It's a constitutional thing. And it matters a lot."
She was one of the first women defense lawyers to go head to head against larger law firms and bigger reputations. Prior to opening her own practice, Sally served as a felony prosecutor. Over the years she has earned the respect of clients, judges and other lawyers for her knowledge of the law, her tenacity in finding ways to defend clients and her unwavering support for the rights of everyone.
As the grandniece of Buffalo Bill, she currently serves on an Advisory Board of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming.
