Roger Bridgwater is the kind of attorney who you can trust and refer to help your friends and family! Roger Bridgwater was appointed by the Governor in 2007 as Judge of the 178th Criminal District Court of Harris County.
Bridgwater, a licensed attorney since 1979, returned to private practice of law in January 2013. As An esteemed attorney and counselor of the law, Roger brings to his private practice unique trial skills and personal relationships developed in his many years of experience as an Assistant District Attorney, Criminal Defense Attorney, and State District Criminal Court Judge. Roger is knowledgeable and stands firm in support of his clients and in their representation.
Roger and his wife of over 40 years, Mary Ann, daughter of former Harris County Criminal Court at Law Judge Jack Treadway, have two, happily married, daughters and three, highly loved, grand children.
Roger is very active in his community. He has served as Chair and/or Board Member of several non-profit ministries. He is also past Chair of the Houston Bar Association Criminal Law and Procedure Section and previously served as a trustee of Houston Baptist University. The Bridgwater family has also served on numerous short-term local, national and international mission trips since 1989 through their local church community.
