Scott Supperstein has represented injured workers and motorists since 1984. He has successfully represented hundreds of people in contested work-related injury claims and accident claims, in workers' compensation hearings and in mediations, personal injury trials and arbitrations. Mr. Supperstein has a history of successful litigation against Oregon's largest insurance companies; these include SAIF Corporation, Liberty Northwest Insurance, State Farm Insurance, USAA, Progressive Insurm;ce, The Hartford and others. Mr. Supperstein has set himself apart by focusing on the immediate needs of those who are injured. Time loss benefits, return to work issues, vocational rehabilitation, and payment of disputed medical bills are the very large concerns of people injured at no fault of their own. It has always been the goal of Mr. Supperstein to ensure that his clients are put at ease, trusting that the best outcome will be achieved. A History of Service
Scott has been honored by The Presiding Administrative Law Judge by being appointed to serve on the committee to interview for the selection of Judges. He has been honored by the City of West Linn for his service there and by the Workers Compensation Section of the Oregon State Bar. He is an author and has spoken at multiple medical conferences regarding the interplay of law and medicine and on issues related to workers' compensation and chiropractic care. He has also spoken at the Oregon State Bar Workers' Compensation Section Bench Bar Forum, and served on the executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar, Workers Compensation Section. His journal articles for medical publications explained PIP issues arising from auto accident claims and the burden injured workers must bear within Oregon's workers' compensation system.
Scott believes neck and back injuries from motor vehicles accidents, lumbar and cervical disc injuries requiring surgery, bone fractures, carpel tunnel claims, eye injuries, knee, elbow and shoulder surgeries all result in unique challenges to the individual. Each also requires a distinct and specific strategy for success. Injuries from car accidents, construction accidents, work related injuries, injuries caused by drunk or uninsured motorists each require specific legal steps in order to achieve the best outcome. Scott has focused his career on understanding the legal complexities and medical aspects of each injury in order to insure successful results.
Education, Associations and Honors
Scott Supperstein received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado College and then attended the Lewis and Clark Law School receiving a Doctor of Juris Prudence degree in 1983 . Scott is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Oregon Workers' Compensation Association and the American Association for Justice, the Multnomah County BAr and the Colorado State BAr. He is admitted to practice law in all Oregon courts including the Oregon Court of Appeals, Oregon Supreme Court, and the United States District Court.
