In 2009, Shayna Slater joined the firm as an associate member of the firm’s Unsafe Drug & Medical Device team. She concentrates her practice on mass tort, products liability and other civil litigation. Her practice involves both pharmaceutical and medical device mass tort litigation.
Currently, Shayna represents clients who have been injured by products including transvaginal mesh, DePuy Pinnacle hip implants, Biomet hip implants, Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Modular hip implants, and Zimmer Durom hip implants. She has been involved in litigations against YAZ, Hydroxycut, Heparin, Sprint Fidelis heart devices, Philips CPAP/Bi-PAP, and denture cream, among others.

Active Community Member Through firm partner Joel Feldman’s End Distracted Driving (EndDD.org) program, Shayna has given presentations about the dangers of distracted driving to more than 2,000 high school students in Pennsylvania. She is the co-chair of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice’s End Distracted Driving Program, which conducts presentations in high schools throughout the state.
Shayna is also a Trustee of the Camden County Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Camden County Bar Association.
Exceptional Legal Background Shayna received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts in 2002, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Political Science and International Affairs. She received her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 2005.
Prior to becoming an associate at Anapol Weiss, Shayna worked as an associate at a prominent law firm in Massachusetts specializing in nursing home litigation and medical malpractice. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts, as well as before the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Shayna is an active member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Camden County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice as well as the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ).
