I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I worked my way through Fordham University, the College at Lincoln Center, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983. During my undergraduate career at Fordham University, I was president of the Federation for Italian-American Unity. In 1981, I spearheaded a campaign to raise funds for victims of a devastating earthquake in Naples, Italy. In recognition of this endeavor I was a recipient of the Garibaldi Medal, which was awarded to me in Rome, Italy. My passion for service led me to Pepperdine University School of Law in California. I am proud to say that I was selected best advocate at the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition. I also competed in both national and international Moot Court competitions on behalf of Pepperdine University School of Law. During law school I was employed by both the Orange County District Attorney's Office and by the law firm of Murchison and Cummings. It was there that I realized that my passion was to help the abused and injured.
Upon obtaining my Juris Doctor degree , gaining admission to the New York State Bar, I decided to come back to Brooklyn and became an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in 1986. The King's County District Attorney's Office provided an excellent opportunity for me to enhance my skills as a trial attorney while serving the people of the borough of Brooklyn. Following three years of dedicated service, I embarked on a career in the private sector where I could provide valuable legal advocacy in civil law. I began as an associate with the firm in 1989.Shortly after I became Partner, Management Partner, and then Senior Partner. Talisman & DeLorenz P.C. now has three office locations providing valuable legal counsel throughout New York. I take pride in managing a full-service law firm, providing legal assistance in every phase, from investigation through the appellate process. I am proud to say that my firm has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for our clients. I am also honored to be serving on the Board of Visitors of Pepperdine University School of Law.
