Steven Miller, Esq. is the founding member and Senior Partner in Miller, Montiel & Strano, P.C. Mr. Miller's extensive career as a trial attorney spans five decades. He tries cases for the catastrophically injured victims of medical malpractice, construction site, motor vehicle and premises accidents caused by the negligence of others. Mr. Miller is a detail oriented, tenacious attorney committed to achieving the maximum results for his clients; he has obtained numerous seven figure verdicts and settlements. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Miller at a young age found his calling in law to redress the wrongs inflicted on those in need. Working to put himself through school, Mr. Miller earned his law degree from St. John's University, School of Law in Queens, NY, graduating cum laude and Dean's List. He continues his association with the School of Law by lecturing other professionals in the art of conducting trials in continuing legal education forums. In addition to lecturing at St. John's, Mr. Miller has lectured for the Queens County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association and others. Mr. Miller has been recognized for excellence in practice by "Super Lawyers" an Honor bestowed upon only 5% of attorneys in the New York Metropolitan Area. He enjoys an "AV Preeminent" rating, the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards, from Lexis/Nexis, Martindale-Hubbell a national peer review rating company. He is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a national organization of seasoned trial lawyers dedicated to the preservation of the civil jury trial. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum as well as the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau and Queens County Bar Associations and the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Queens College where he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the Economics Honor Society.
Mr. Miller is also involved in volunteer community services. He provided pro bono services in establishing a Memorial Fund for the widows and children of deceased fire fighters from Engine 54, Ladder 4 of the F.D.N.Y. lost in the attack on the World Trade Center. He provided pro bono services to the families of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy through Trial Lawyers Care. He has sat on the Board of Directors of a safe house for women, providing guidance to many. He also sits as a trustee on the board of his local civic association. Mr. Miller resides in Nassau County with his wife and two children.
