Steven Schepps has been licensed to practice law for over 25 years and exclusively represents people who have been hurt while on the job and those injured due to motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, defective products and dog bites. Steve has also helped numerous disabled clients obtain Social Security Disability benefits after they were initially denied.
Steven Schepps is a trial lawyer and can be found in a courtroom somewhere in New Jersey on regular basis. Steve has successfully tried his clients' cases to verdict throughout New Jersey through numerous jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations in Superior Court, Federal District Court, Division of Workers' Compensation, municipal courts and Federal Social Security Disability hearings. Steve has also successfully appeared in the Appellate Division and was part of the team that appeared before the N.J. Supreme Court.
Mr. Schepps also concentrates in Environmental/Mass Toxic Tort, Land Use and Municipal Court/Traffic Litigation. He has assisted in representing several Municipalities, the State of New Jersey, individuals, communities and environmental organizations who have been injured as a result of environmental contamination. Steve has also served as Planning Board Attorney for the Township of West Orange and sits as an arbitrator on UM/UIM cases. Steve was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court and successfully completed a four-year term as an attorney investigator for the District VC Attorney Ethics committee.
Mr. Schepps is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and The United States District Court of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey Association of Justice, American Association of Justice, the Union County Bar Association and he is an attorney Vice President with the New Jersey Advisory Council on Safety and Health.
Mr. Schepps has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and has also been named as one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in New Jersey by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Schepps has also lectured to other trial lawyers on technology in the courtroom.
