Tim Ferguson grew up in Beaumont, Texas as the youngest of 4 children and graduated from West Brook High School. He went on to attend the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) on a baseball scholarship, where he thrived both on and off the baseball field. A three-year starter, Tim was also named to the Southeastern Conference’s all-academic each of his three years at Ole Miss. His athletic career for the Rebels was stellar, including being named the SEC’s Player of the Week in 2008 and led the 2009 team in hitting with a .358 batting average. Tim finished his career ranked among the school’s career leaders in multiple categories. Following his junior year, the Kansas City Royals selected Tim in the tenth round of the Major League Baseball draft. Tim spent four seasons in the Kansas City Royals’ farm system.
Dedicated & Passionate Representation for the Injured in Southeast Texas After his playing days ended, Tim decided to follow the footsteps of his father and join the legal profession. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi and then attended the University of Houston Law Center where Tim obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence. While at the University of Houston Law Center, Tim was a member of the UHLC mock trial competition team, competed in several arbitration competitions, and participated in more than five litigation courses. He also was the president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Organization and a Board member for the Public Interest Law Organization. He was sworn in as a new attorney on November 2, 2017 by his grandfather, the Hon. Paul F. Ferguson, Sr., a retired state district judge. While in school, Tim worked as a law clerk for two nationally recognized plaintiff law firms. He also spent time giving baseball lessons to young baseball players. Tim brings the same passion and work ethic to the law as he did to baseball.
