Mr. Freiberg grew up near Rockford, Illinois. After attending high school there, Mr. Freiberg studied political science at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he was included on the dean's list for academic excellence and graduated summa cum laude. Upon graduating, Mr. Freiberg attended the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford, Mississippi.

At Ole Miss, Mr. Freiberg was highly successful in several oral advocacy competitions and also contributed to articles published in the University of Mississippi Law Journal. While at Ole Miss, he served as Resident Scholar Advisor to his former undergraduate fraternity. During law school, Mr. Freiberg clerked for Prairie State Legal Services in Rockford, providing pro bono publico legal representation to indigent clients.

In 2004, he began representing injured individuals for The Law Offices of Frederick W. Nessler and Associates, Ltd. in Springfield, Illinois. In 2008, he left Springfield to start his own law firm in his hometown where he continues to represent individuals who have suffered injuries through someone else's negligence.

Mr. Freiberg practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, premises' liability, automobile negligence, workers' compensation and catastrophic injuries. A significant portion of his practice also is concentrated in the area of civil prosecution of sexual abusers of children and those entities knowingly employing the perpetrators of such abuse. He has handled numerous complex and difficult cases and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients.

SIGNIFICANT CASES
M.K., et al. v. L.C., et al., 901 N.E.2d 468 (3rd Dist. 2009). The Third District Appellate Court reversed the Peoria County Circuit Court, holding that the amendments to Illinois' Childhood Sexual Abuse Statute (CSAA), which eliminated the statute of repose and statute of limitations, are to be applied retroactively.
