Tracey S. Lewis is a personal injury attorney who fights for the rights of injured people who are unable to do so for themselves.

After graduating from Temple University School of Law, Ms. Lewis worked for a prestigious Philadelphia insurance defense firm where she specialized in medical malpractice.  A defense verdict, after a six-day jury trial involving a five-year-old child who developed encephalitis from a misdiagnosed vaccination reaction, effectively ended her career as a defensive attorney. She could not shake the sick feeling of watching the battle-torn parents push their wheelchair-bound son out of the courtroom with no recovery.

Attempting to erase her memories as a defense attorney, Ms. Lewis worked in various capacities in the City of Philadelphia Law Department, City of Philadelphia Mayor’s Office and a prestigious Philadelphia lobbying firm.

Her first taste as a plaintiffs’ personal injury attorney occurred when her mother referred a young woman to her for consultation.  The young girl had been in a rear-end car accident.  As a result of the accident, she lost her fourteen-week-old baby.  No firm would take the case because, based on case law, the baby was “not viable.”  Undeterred, Ms. Lewis ordered the medical records, used her medical defense contacts and discovered that the baby was actually born alive with his time of birth and death noted in his records.  The case settled for policy limits.

In plaintiffs’ trial work, Ms. Lewis has been able to use all of combined life experiences to advocate for those who need help the most—hurt people who are unable to fight for themselves.  The ultimate David versus Goliath challenge.  She started her own practice in 2014 and has worked tirelessly to ensure that her clients get the respect and recovery they deserve.  She lives in Susquehanna Township with her husband, plays a mean game of basketball, loves to travel and enjoys cooking, RV camping and beach hopping.  An inductee in Philadelphia’s Big Five Hall of Fame and Lasalle University’s Hall of Athletes, she has never met a challenge she didn’t love, either on the court, or in the courtroom.
