Leonard "Len" Jacoby is the co-founder of Jacoby & Meyers Law Offices, one of California's pioneering consumer law firms. Alongside his late partner, Stephen Meyers, Len established the firm in 1972 with a simple vision: to make experienced legal representation accessible to individuals and families who previously had limited access to quality legal services.
At a time when many middle-income Californians could neither afford traditional legal fees nor qualify for legal aid, Len helped redefine the neighborhood law office model by combining skilled legal representation with efficient systems designed to deliver personalized client service. The firm's first office opened in Van Nuys in September 1972, introducing an innovative approach to delivering legal services that has since influenced law firms throughout the country.
Over the past five decades, the firm Len helped build has grown into one of California's recognized personal injury law firms, representing clients throughout Southern California and across the state. Today, Jacoby & Meyers serves clients through 14 offices across California, handling personal injury cases in Orange County, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Brea, San Diego, Ontario, San Bernardino, Bakersfield, Fresno, Escondido, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose.

Len Jacoby’s Leadership, Affiliations, and Awards
Following the landmark legal developments in 1977 that permitted attorneys to advertise their services, Jacoby & Meyers entered a period of significant growth. As Senior Partner and Chief Operating Officer, Len directed the firm's expansion by overseeing market development, office operations, quality assurance, attorney training, systems development, and strategic planning while maintaining the firm's commitment to accessible legal representation.
Len also established a network of highly qualified law firms specializing in mass tort, class action and niche cases, such as drug and other product recalls, bad faith insurance, elder abuse, wage & hour, medical mistakes, aircraft accidents and consumer fraud.
Throughout his career, Len has lectured extensively on the delivery of legal services. As the firm's chief advertising creative director and writer, he received numerous awards for advertising excellence, including the prestigious CLIO Award, recognizing his contributions to consumer legal education and public outreach.
Education
Len attended the University of California, Berkeley, graduating magna cum laude in 1964 before earning his Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law in 1967.
