Ben Charlton, an Associate at Keller Postman LLC, combines empathy, precision, and courtroom experience to deliver powerful advocacy for plaintiffs.

"I’ve always wanted to help people. As a boy, I spent many summers helping repair washed-out wheelchair ramps and patchy roofs in communities devastated by flooding. Now I represent some of the most vulnerable people against the most powerful corporations. It’s my mission to magnify their voices, and I do that every day as a plaintiff’s trial lawyer." - Ben Charlton

Ben’s practice centers on representing individuals harmed by large corporations. From jury selection to closing argument, he brings sharp insight and persuasive storytelling to every case. At Keller Postman, he has played a key role in the nationwide Zantac litigation, helping juries understand the human toll of a drug that was found to degrade into a globally recognized carcinogen.

Before joining Keller Postman, Ben represented victims of medical negligence at a boutique plaintiff’s firm.

Ben’s courtroom excellence has earned him recognition from leading legal organizations. He has been named a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Lawyer in Virginia by The National Trial Lawyers, a Rising Star in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice by Virginia Super Lawyers, and One to Watch by Best Lawyers in Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, and Product Liability.

He is also active in the legal community, serving on the Fairfax Bar Association Board of Directors and previously on the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference Board of Governors (2022–2024). Ben shares his trial skills with the next generation when he coaches the Meridian High School mock trial team, which won a state championship during his tenure.

Ben began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Louise M. DiMatteo of the Arlington County Circuit Court in Virginia. He graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University School of Law, where he served as president of the Trial Advocacy Association. Ben holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
