Tom was proud to serve as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Ray County, Missouri, from 2015 to 2017 and as a Special Prosecuting Attorney for Clay County, Missouri. Tom is the former President of the Clay County Bar Association and has served on its board since 2011. In 2025, Tom was appointed municipal court judge for the City of Kearney, Missouri.
