Warren W. Lindsey has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1980, and has been Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law by The Florida Bar since 1995. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals, the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He has practiced law primarily in the Central Florida area since 1980 after graduating from the University of Florida College of Law with honors in 1979. He represents clients in a wide range of criminal matters in State and Federal Court. He also represents lawyers in disciplinary matters, and has represented Judges before the Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC).

Mr. Lindsey is active in leadership roles in both state and local bar associations. He previously served on The Florida Bar Board of Governors (2002-2008) and in 1989-1991 (while President and President-Elect of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division). While a member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors, he served as chair of The Florida Bar Legislation Committee (2006-2007), co-chair of the Disciplinary Review Committee (2003-2004 and 2007-2008) and on the Executive Committee (2006-2007). He was elected President of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division for 1990-1991. While on The Florida Bar Board of Governors, he served on other committees and programs, including Vice Chair of Board Review Committee on Professional Ethics (1990-1991).

More recently, Mr. Lindsey served from 2020-2021 as Chair of The Florida Bar Criminal Law Section (CLS). He is a past member of The Florida Bar Criminal Rules Committee. He is also a past member of The Florida Bar Professional Ethics Committee (2012-2015). He was President of the Orange County Bar Association (1996-1997) after serving two years on its Executive Council. He has achieved many leadership positions in the Orange County Bar Association, including Chairman of the Criminal Law Committee, Judicial Relations Committee, Fee Arbitration Committee and President of the Orange County Bar Association Foundation. He is a member of the Orange and Seminole County Bar Associations. He is past-President of the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.

Mr. Lindsey was appointed by then Florida Bar President Mayanne Downs to serve on a study project to assess the reasons for the decline in jury trials in state and federal courts, The Florida Bar’s Special Committee to Study the Decline in Jury Trials (2011-2012), which issued a report with recommendations. He was appointed by then Chief Judge of the Middle District of Florida, Patricia Fawsett, to serve on the Middle District of Florida Federal Grievance Committee in Orlando (1999-2002). He was appointed by then Chief Judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit, Belvin Perry, to serve on the Article V Indigent Services Committee for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He also previously served on the University of Florida Law School Board of Trustees.

He is a former member and past-President of the Seminole County Legal Aid Society; a 1996 graduate of Leadership Orlando; and a 1998 graduate of Leadership Winter Park. Mr. Lindsey has been awarded the highest rating (AV rating) for ability and ethics by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been designated a leading attorney in criminal law following a statewide survey of Florida lawyers. He was awarded the William B. Trickel, Jr. Professionalism Award by the Orange County Bar Association in 2004.
