Jacob Salathe began his career in law after graduating cum laude from Indiana University's Maurer School of Law in 2019. While at Maurer, Jacob became a registered domestic mediator and participated in the Viola J. Talieferro Family Law Clinic, where he received the Julia Lamber Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance.
After law school, Jacob joined Webster & Garino LLC, a boutique firm in Westfield, Indiana to focus on family law practice. While at W&G, Jacob switched from family law to focus on criminal defense, expungements, and civil litigation. Jacob grew his criminal defense practice from the ground up, eventually serving hundreds of Defendants around central Indiana.
In 2024, Jacob left W&G to start his own firm that focuses on criminal defense—both privately and through public defender contracts in Hamilton County and Madison County. Since switching to criminal defense focus, Jacob has secured a myriad of Not Guilty trial verdicts for his clients and countless favorable pleas. In addition, Jacob has become murder trial certified and a member of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys.
Jacob has recently joined Josiah Swinney at the Swinney Law Office where the two focus on criminal defense, expungements, civil forfeiture, and appellate work.
