Aarika Thompson focuses her practice primarily on criminal defense, domestic relations, and personal injury litigation. Aarika is also a certified Attorney Ad Litem for both domestic relations and dependency-neglect cases. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arkansas Tech University in 2010, followed by her juris doctor from the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock. During law school, Aarika served on the Editorial Board for the Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service and was a member of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity. Prior to private practice, Aarika served as deputy prosecutor, first with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force and then with Poinsett County. There, she gained significant courtroom experience that she utilizes in her practice today. She also previously served as the coach for Bay High School Mock Trial Team and as coach for the Arkansas State University Moot Court Team. She has been named amongst the Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Arkansas by The National Trial Lawyers. Aarika also currently serves as a Director on Arkansas’s JLAP Foundation Board. In her free time, Aarika enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, their two daughters, Emma and Eleanor, and their golden retriever, Charlie.
