Aaron Harshman has over 10 years of experience as an Indiana attorney and an impressive list of accomplishments.

Criminal Law

Aaron Harshman has broad experience not only as a criminal defense attorney but also as a deputy prosecuting attorney in three different Indiana Counties – Hendricks County, Hancock County, and Tippecanoe County.

• Mr. Harshman has conducted many jury trials and bench trials, from infractions and misdemeanors to major felonies. He has prosecuted or defended charges of drug dealing, drug possession, marijuana possession, illegal firearms and handgun possession, domestic violence, battery, neglect of a dependent, theft, shoplifting, conversion, operating while intoxicated (OWI), driving while intoxicated (DWI) or driving under the influence (DUI), robbery, burglary, and many more.
• Post-Conviction Relief: Mr. Harshman has obtained a reversal of charges on multiple cases post-conviction.
• Other criminal proceedings: In addition to trial work, Aaron works on sentence modifications, probation violations, community corrections violations, and expungements.
• Mr. Harshman has worked as a prosecutor with a focus on domestic violence and crimes against women. He has spoken on complexities of the topic and helped navigate appropriate results, including the dismissal of Defendants accused of domestic violence.

Professional Licensing

When Aaron was the Executive Director at the Indiana State Board of Nursing, he served as an expert in the application of criminal law and administrative rules in the determination of what penalty should be applied to accused nurses. He is familiar with the processes and the unique nuances of the board’s operation and can advise you on how to maintain your license.
