Alek’s connection to the firm began long before he became a lawyer. Growing up in his family’s practice, he worked at Hernandez Law Group from an early age—starting with simple office tasks like labeling files and organizing supply closets before taking on greater responsibilities such as answering phones, assisting attorneys, and working as both a legal assistant and paralegal. Those early experiences gave him firsthand insight into how personal injury cases affect real families and shaped his lifelong commitment to helping people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
After earning his law degree, Alek joined Hernandez Law Group as a trial attorney, representing injured clients in complex litigation involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death claims, workplace accidents, and serious vehicle collisions. He has taken numerous cases to trial and arbitration, successfully holding insurance companies and negligent parties accountable while helping clients recover the compensation they deserve.
Alek later broadened his advocacy experience as an Associate Director for a national consulting firm, where he helped lead a team of more than 75 attorneys and tax professionals representing small and mid-sized businesses in high-stakes disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). In that role, he fought to protect business owners from aggressive government enforcement, helped companies secure critical tax credits and incentives, and guided clients through complex audits, appeals, and litigation preparation.
He ultimately returned to Hernandez Law Group to continue doing what has always driven his career: standing up for the “little guy.” Whether fighting insurance companies, large corporations, or government agencies, Alek brings the same relentless advocacy, strategic thinking, and trial readiness to every case he handles.
