"Growing up, I admired my father and grandfather for the work they did. Both were attorneys who spent their entire careers — more than 100 years combined — advocating for the little guy and helping working people. They worked with unions concerned about dangerous and toxic work environments, and also repetitive injuries. I knew this work was important and rewarding. I am honored to be continuing this family tradition.”
Alexander C. Schwarz joins our team of negligence, personal injury, and medical malpractice litigators. He also handles cases relating to dangerous and toxic work environments and product liability.
Since he was born, Mr. Schwarz saw how his dad and grandfather helped working men and women. They were responsible for improving the lives of people in unions and have worked with the International Association of Machinists for over three decades. Presently, Mr. Schwarz serves as the youngest-ever counsel to the Pennsylvania State Council of Machinists.
“I feel extremely privileged to be part of Weitz & Luxenberg’s efforts to help our clients who have been hurt through the negligence of others,” Mr. Schwarz says. “Weitz & Luxenberg has a long-standing history of representing regular, working-class people and giving them a voice. W&L attorneys are top notch.”
Establishing Trust Is Everything
“At the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, I worked with victims of murder, homicide, and rape — as well as on juvenile cases. Establishing trust is my number one priority. Each victim must know they have an advocate and a friend in me,” Mr. Schwarz insists.
“At that moment, your clients are facing some very serious problems. They are completely dependent on you. You are their confidante. This is an enormous honor, and I don’t want to let them down.”
Mr. Schwarz continues, “You need to be supportive and know how to help them get the assistance they need. In the courtroom, I have the opportunity to tell my client’s story. It is an incredibly exhilarating experience. I am very much looking forward to the trial work involved in Weitz & Luxenberg litigations.”

In 2019, Mr. Schwarz interned at the Superior Court of New Jersey in Camden, New Jersey. He reported to the Honorable Deborah Silverman-Katz. He conducted research to support an interdisciplinary model of integrating clinical care, education, legal rights, and social services. A primary goal of the center is to inform local and national policy to protect the rights and ensure the safety of children.
In the fall of 2016, Mr. Schwarz worked as a congressional intern for U.S. Senator Cory Booker in Washington, D.C.
