Attorney Amy Judkins has dedicated her legal career to advocating for her clients, most notably for consumers in class-action lawsuits countering insurance companies and large corporations. She has been designated as class counsel in multiple settlement and litigated classes, leading to multi-million-dollar recoveries for the impacted class.
Ms. Judkins earned her law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law as a single mom of two young girls. Despite many challenges, Ms. Judkins graduated third in her class after earning book award (top grades) in twelve different subjects. While in law school, she interned for the then-Chief Judge of the Middle District of Florida, the Honorable Anne C. Conway, and was a summer associate with the law firm Holland & Knight. Following her graduation, Ms. Judkins was given the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable Paul G. Byron in the United States District Court of the Middle District of Florida, where she drafted orders on substantive motions on a variety of federal- and state-court claims and assisted with both civil and criminal trials.
Before pursuing her legal career, Ms. Judkins worked as an environmental consultant at the Florida consulting firm, Breedlove, Dennis, and Associates, where she provided consulting services for some of the largest landowners in Florida on wetland permitting and large-scale environmental planning. Her role there involved assisting in the research and preparation of expert testimony related to the Clean Water Act, sparking an interest and love of the law.
