GARY B. PILLERSDORF was the founder of the firm. He was a board certified Civil Trial Advocate and took more than 350 verdicts, including 28 verdicts exceeding one million dollars over the course of his distinguished forty year career.
Gary was a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, selected for Who’s Who in American Law and was repeatedly elected to “Super Lawyers, the Top Attorneys in New York”. He won the prestigious Mel Award from the Melvin Belli Society, the Trial Lawyer of the Year Award from the Institute of Jewish Humanities and was the first northerner to win the War Horse Award presented by the Southern Trial Lawyers Association.
A past president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Gary also served as a Dean Emeritus for New York State Continuing Legal Education. He authored the highly acclaimed textbook New York Motor Vehicle Accidents, published by James Publishing, and was a frequent contributing author to Trial Magazine, a national publication for the trial bar.
Posthumously he was named to the Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame, and honored by having a continuing legal education program, which he pioneered with the New York State Trial Lawyers Associated, renamed in his memory.
Gary was a tireless advocate for victims rights and his legacy includes numerous ground breaker decisions which both helped rewrite areas of tort victims recovery law, and made consumer products more safe for everyone.

Andrew Pillersdorf has dedicated his career to helping injured parties obtain fair and just compensation; spending his twenty years in practice specializing in personal injury and appellate litigation. He has taken numerous jury verdicts in venues all over New York, and has successfully argued appeals in both the First and Second Departments, as well as the New York State Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.
Andrew’s skilled and zealous advocacy on behalf of his clients has resulted in the recovery of tens of millions of dollars for victims of negligence. His verdicts and settlements have made him a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum, have landed him on the Top Verdicts in New York List, and his outstanding reputation has earned him a place on the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 list.
Andrew has represented plaintiffs who have been seriously injured or killed in construction or work site accidents, injured due to defective products, involved in automobile crashes, hurt in trip and fall incidents, and victims of police misconduct.
He has lectured and moderated programs for local and national trial lawyer organizations including the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and the Melvin Belli Society. Andrew is admitted to practice in New York State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts.
Andrew earned his BA from Washington University in St. Louis where he studied Political Science and Philosophy, his JD from Georgetown University Law Center; and an LLM from New York University Law School. Andrew is proud to carry on the family tradition of aggressively fighting for the rights of the injured, never shying away from even the most difficult cases or backing down from even the largest corporate defendant.
