Angela L. Trawick uniquely blends the analytical precision of an accomplished attorney with the clinical depth of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She holds a Juris Doctorate, Master’s degree in Psychology, and is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor.
Angela began her career treating adolescents with complex psychiatric needs at a secure residential treatment facility, rising from therapist to program director. She simultaneously maintained a private practice and provided services at a neuropsychiatric center.
Driven by a commitment to public service, Angela worked as a Military Family Life Consultant, supporting military personnel and their families at installations nationwide. She also served as a Mental Health Specialist with the FloridaOne Disaster Medical Assistance Team, deploying to Haiti within 48 hours of the 2010 earthquake to provide mental health care to U.S. Embassy staff, Haitian citizens, and fellow responders.
After more than a decade in mental and behavioral health, Angela pursued her longstanding interest in law. She earned her Juris Doctor and is admitted to practice in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Her legal career began in Corporate Compliance, where she ensured regulatory and contractual adherence across behavioral health and substance use programs across the country.
Angela later joined Kubicki Draper, practicing insurance defense litigation and earning the distinction of shareholder. There, she litigated complex matters including personal injury (premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, wrongful death, and product liability), construction defect, and first-party property claims.
Today, as a plaintiffs’ attorney at Rafferty, Domnick, Cunningham & Yaffa, Angela brings her dual expertise to high-stakes mass tort and personal injury litigation. She specializes in developing strategic client and fact witness testimonial approaches, conducting in-depth witness preparation, and managing negatively impacted clients and witnesses with both empathy and precision. Her approach to jury selection and ongoing trial observation is grounded in behavioral insight, allowing her to align courtroom strategy with juror psychology. Angela skillfully integrates mental health and trauma-related evidence into litigation narratives, presenting damages in ways that humanize complex injuries and resonate powerfully with juries.
Angela’s interdisciplinary background offers rare insight into the intersection of law, psychology, and trauma— making her an engaging and informed speaker on topics critical to today’s legal practice, including attorney and staff mental health, effective client and witness interactions, the psychological dynamics of litigation and jury decision-making, trauma-informed legal advocacy, regulatory compliance, crisis response, and the strategic management of complex cases.
