Prior to joining Leav & Steinberg, Anthony honed his courtroom skills as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted violent felony offenses. Anthony then entered civil practice as an associate at a prominent Long Island plaintiff personal injury firm, where he represented victims of general negligence and childhood sexual abuse. He leveraged his valuable advocacy skills into his next role as an associate at a plaintiff’s construction injury law firm, where he significantly expanded his knowledge and experience with the New York State Labor Laws and their application to work site injuries.
Anthony’s life experiences uniquely prepared him to compassionately advocate for victims of preventable accidents and medical malpractice. His journey to courtroom advocacy began in his teenage years when he witnessed his mother receive inadequate care to treat a brain tumor. As a member of the Construction & General Building Laborers’ Union Local 79, Anthony experienced unsafe conditions on construction sites that led him to suffer serious injuries.
In addition to practicing law, Anthony invests genuine effort into serving the broader legal community. He serves as an Officer and Board Member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, as well as a Co-Chair for Committees of the New Lawyers Division of the American Association for Justice. His commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering growth is evident in his role as a lecturer for various bar associations. Demonstrating his dedication to diversity, Anthony is a proud graduate of the American Association for Justice’s 2023 Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Academy.
