Benjamin T. Major joined the Issues and Appeals section of The Lanier Law Firm in 2012. His outstanding experience in trial and appellate matters complement the expertise of the other attorneys in the section. Ben's proficiency includes representing financial institutions in commercial collection and lender liability cases; representing individuals in probate and personal injury litigation; representing municipalities in Section 1983 litigation; and representing various corporate clients in commercial, personal injury, and employment matters.
Prior to joining The Lanier Law Firm, Ben was an associate at highly respected law firms in Beaumont and Lubbock. He received a bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence Summa Cum Laude from The Texas Tech School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal. Before attending law school, Ben taught English as well as coached basketball and tennis in the public school system.
Ben is a native Texan who is licensed in Texas. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Eastern District of Texas.
