Bernard Lo is a passionate advocate whose practice has included clients in complex litigation matters ranging from commercial cases, pharmaceutical mass torts, inverse condemnation, wrongful death and injury cases. Presently, Bernard focuses his practice on seeking justice for people who have suffered serious injury as a result of the recklessness of others.
Bernard was born in England and grew up in Dallas, Texas. From a young age, he had a deep interest in finding out how things work (which led to the home’s electronics being in various states of disassembly). He pursued this interest and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania which he attended on a full scholarship as a Trustee Scholar. His intellectual curiosity led him to a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. During his time at UT, Bernard was an editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal.
Bernard applies this analytical mindset to dive headfirst into matters with complicated science, technology, or legal issues. He has a particular ability to weave a winning narrative from very complex sets of facts, often with document volumes in the millions of pages. He is a Certified E-Discovery Specialist, a designation attained by fewer than 2,500 individuals globally. His deep expertise in e-Discovery ensures that his clients receive the benefit of receiving document sets in the format that best allows trial teams to find the needle in the haystack.
His aptitude for problem solving and delivering great results for his clients has been recognized by his peers. He has been selected numerous times as a Texas Rising Star (awarded to less than 2.5% of all attorneys) and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation (an invitation extended each year to 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys).
