It’s our honor to introduce the newest member of the O’Mara Law Group Team! Bert Barclay and Mark O’Mara have been friends and have worked together for over 3 decades!
Bert W. Barclay, a Central Florida native, is a highly experienced and respected family law and criminal defense attorney who has practiced in Central Florida for over 35 years. Bert is admired for his expertise, compassionate approach and empathetic manner.
Bert obtained his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree from the #UniversityofFlorida, completed his legal education at #FloridaStateUniversity College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor Degree, and graduating with Honors.
He began his legal career at the Office of the Public Defender in the misdemeanor division for Orange & Osceola Counties and was quickly promoted to the Felony Trial Division. There he represented clients in a wide range of criminal matters, ranging from misdemeanors and criminal traffic cases to first-degree murder charges.
In 1987, Mr. Barclay entered private practice, where he extended his legal talents in the area of family law, while also continuing his representation of those charged with various types of criminal offenses at the state level.
Bert will be utilizing his extensive experience and knowledge providing services in both Family and Criminal Law at O’Mara Law Group.
